See which projects are off course, and why.

Waypoint reads the P6 schedule update your contractor sends each month and tells you, in plain words, when each project is forecast to finish and what moved it.

We set up access for each engagement, so there is no sign-up form.

Waypoint's project list: one project on or ahead of its contract date, four more than 30 days late, the furthest 365 days late.

Ask about any project in your own words. Each fact in the answer names the update it came from.

Asked in Waypoint: Will this project finish on time? Answer: No. The latest schedule shows the project finishing about a year late, 365 calendar days after the contract date.

The list to bring to the monthly meeting

Submittals, deliveries, shutdowns, tie-ins, inspections and agency approvals due in the next 8 weeks, grouped by when they fall. Anything already overdue comes first: those are your questions for the contractor.

“Drives finish” marks work that moves the completion date if it slips. “Float -6d” means 6 days behind what the finish date needs.

Waypoint's look-ahead for one project: six submittals and deliveries due in the next two weeks, one of them driving the finish date.

What you get from each update

Schedule quality

Fourteen standard checks that show whether the schedule itself can be trusted. Every activity that fails one goes into a single Excel file you can send back to the contractor.

What changed

Which work moved the most since last month and what now sets the finish date. Scope that was added or removed is listed too.

The whole history

Every monthly update is kept, so you can see how the forecast finish has moved over the life of the job.

A report for the board

A print-ready summary for each project, with the terms it uses defined in plain language.

How it works

  1. 1

Your contractor sends the monthly update

The same P6 schedule file they already submit to you.

  2. 2

    We load it into Waypoint

Each update is compared with every earlier one, so you see the trend as well as this month.

  3. 3

You read it before the meeting

Open the project on any screen, and print the report for the board.

Who makes it

Waypoint is made by project controls consultants who review contractor schedules for public agencies every month.

Every figure comes from the contractor's own schedule file. If a number can't be worked out from it, Waypoint shows it as missing.

Start with one schedule

Send us one monthly update from a current project. We will show you what Waypoint reads from it before anyone signs anything.
